I was just wondering about doing pushups with a weighted vest and if it could sub for benchpresses? Like, if I weigh 180lbs, and do a pushup, is that working my chest like benchpressing 180lbs? And so a weighted vest of 50lbs would be my own weight plus the vest? Just wondering if it worked out like that! It kinda makes sense since when you are on a bench, you dont lift any of your body weight. . . any thoughts?
I am planning on getting a weighted vest to run with and do core strenght, think it might work to maintain and maybe add some muscle to my pecs and shoulders?
